Quick and Easy way to Fight for OHV Rights.
Calfornia Assemblyman Joel Anderson has a great idea. He thinks we should have Special Interest License Plates for off-roaders such as there are for veterans, firefighters, environmentalists, etc. Thousands of these plates on the highways would help show the size and strength of the OHV community, and a portion of the cost of the plates would be returned to our programs. Joel is willing to push this through the legislature, but he needs our help. We need 10,000 signatures on a petition. You can submit your name and address to the petition online by going to http://www.ohvplates.org.

There are some things you just cannot put a price on, the annual family camping trip to that remote spot at the end of the forest road, mountain biking with your friends in the backcountry, trail bike riding on the primitive forest trails, fishing with your child at your Dad's favorite spot, 4X4ing up that old logging road to your secret hunting camp. Of course the key to enjoying all of these special times is access to your public lands. Wouldn't it be great if there were a way to ensure your grandchildren were able to enjoy the same special places? There is a way & it is called Semi-Primitive BackCountry Recreation Designation. It will preserve access to Public Lands for Future Generations. Ensure your grandkids are still able to ride a trail bike on existing forest trails to your favorite remote mountain lake. Ensure disabled people can reasonably access the backcountry on ATV's or 4X4's using designated trails. Semi-Primitive BackCountry Recreation Designation will promote greater biodiversity by allowing active management under the strictest regulations in the world....
